Quad copter
is also known as Drone. These unmanned aerial vehicle have four arms and fixed
pitch propellers which set in a ‘x’ and ‘+’ modes. In the standard format two
propellers will spin in a clock wise direction with other spinning in an
anti-clock wise direction allowing to fly in a designated direction.
Working:
Quad copter has four motors whose speed of rotation and the direction of rotation changes according to the user’s desire to move the device in particular direction take off motion, landing forward motion, backward motion right motion.
The rotation of motor changes as per the transmitted signal the form the four channel transmitter.
The signal from micro controller goes to ESC which in turn controls the speed of motor the program for which is written in the ATMEGA 16 chip.

Pros:
- Helps to detect forest fires
- Monitor
environmental data(i.e. population of animals)
- Can seek missing children and felons
Cons:
- Domestic
drones violate right to privacy
- Some
drones are lethal and not just used for surveillance
- With drones being unmanned flying machines, less aviation jobs are needed. They’re very expensive and a rarity among the world.
